Inventor
Alan Winder was a world-renowned expert in acoustics, with decades of sonar and ultrasound experience. He spent the first 30 years of his career in anti-submarine warfare sonar applications, and focused the last 25 years of his professional efforts on medical applications of ultrasound. He was the lead scientific consultant to the Exogen corporation, and was instrumental in helping commercialize the world's first ultrasonic bone fracture healing device, which achieved FDA pre-market approval in 1994. Over the course of his career he was awarded 11 patents in medical ultrasound, with four patents still pending. He founded Sonogen Medical to commercialize the technologies he developed based on his many years of research in medical ultrasound, biophysics, fluid mechanics, and digital signal processing.
Sonogen's CEO Jason Winder was recently interviewed by Giovanni Lauricella, CEO of Lifeblood. Listen to their wide-ranging conversation on Spotify!
